ByteDance-owned TikTok keeps hiring as planned while rivals Meta and Twitter are experiencing layoffs and hiring freezes, with the popular short video platform aiming to double its engineers to about 2,000 in its Mountain View, California office. Xpeng Motors has set up Guangzhou Pengbo Automobile Technology Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary with a scope of businesses including battery manufacturing. NetEase reports $3.4 billion revenue in Q3 as Cloud Music continues to grow

Leading Chinese tech firm NetEase on Thursday reported a 10.1% year-on-year revenue growth to RMB 24.4 billion ($3.4 billion) in the third quarter of 2022. Revenue from games and related value-added services came to RMB 18.7 billion, a 9.1% yearly increase.
